Welcoming 9point2 to the Vergence Family

We have some news we've been looking forward to sharing: Vergence has acquired 9point2, an Indianapolis-based artificial intelligence and automation services company founded by Andrew Bosway.

If you've talked with us at any point this year, you probably already know why. Nearly every conversation we've had with customers lately arrives at the same question; not just should we be doing something with AI, but where do we start? It's a fair question, and it deserves a better answer than a strategy deck.

That's the gap 9point2 was built to close. Andrew and his team don't sell AI as a concept. They embed with an operation, find the workflows that are quietly eating hours every week, and build something that fixes them.

"AI is rapidly changing how organizations operate and our goal is to help our customers move beyond simply experimenting with AI to actually putting it to work," said Gabe Browne, CEO of Vergence. "The acquisition of 9point2 gives Vergence additional depth and expertise in an area that we believe will be foundational to the future of technology."

“Bringing 9point2 into the Vergence family allows us to connect several critical pieces of the technology ecosystem. Our customers increasingly want partners who can help them manage their existing technology environment while also helping them determine what comes next. AI, Automation, cybersecurity, software development, and managed services are increasingly interconnected and our organization is positioned to address those needs together.”

A New Chapter for 9point2

For 9point2 founder Andrew Bosway, joining Vergence creates an opportunity to accelerate the company's growth while giving its AI and automation capabilities access to a larger technology platform, broader customer base, and established government and commercial relationships.

“Joining Vergence is an exciting next step for 9point2 and our customers,” said Andrew Bosway, Founder of 9point2. “We started and built 9point2 around the belief that AI and Automation should solve real business problems and deliver measurable value. By joining Vergence, we gain the resources, infrastructure, technical capabilities, and market reach to take that mission much further. We can now combine our AI expertise with Vergence’s managed services, software development, and government contracting capabilities to deliver more comprehensive solutions and help more organizations take advantage of what AI can do.”

Building a Family of Technology Companies

Vergence’s strategy is to develop a family of complementary companies and capabilities that can work together to deliver greater value to customers. The acquisition of 9point2 is an important component of that strategy.

The combined organization will leverage Vergence’s existing infrastructure, customer relationships, government contracting experience, and operational resources while allowing 9point2’s AI and automation capabilities to scale across a broader customer base.

“This acquisition is about more than adding another service line,” said Mike Gallagher, COO of Vergence. “It is about building a technology platform that allows us to bring the right expertise to our customers at the right time. AI and Automation are fundamentally changing the way organizations operate and we want Vergence to be at the forefront of that transformation.”

What 9point2 Can Offer

The short version: leveraging AI-empowered development into practical, built-to-own tools rather than another subscription to manage. Their work includes:

  • AI workflow automation — reading and processing documents, drafting responses, routing the exceptions that need a human, and preparing data for the people making decisions

  • Invoice and accounts payable automation

  • Catalog and quoting tools, including turning sprawling product data into something searchable

  • Custom CRM and pipeline systems built around how a team actually sells

  • Dashboards and decision support that surface what matters instead of everything at once

  • Customer and vendor portals, and integrations that get disconnected systems talking

Paired with what Vergence already does (managed services, software development, cybersecurity, and government contracting) it means we can now take a customer from "we think AI could help here" all the way through to something running in production and measurably better than what it replaced.

What This Means for You

If you're already a Vergence customer, nothing about our relationship is changing, you simply have access to a new set of capabilities when you want them. And if AI and automation have been sitting on your list of things to figure out eventually, this is a good moment to move them up.

We're glad to have Andrew and the 9point2 team on board, and we're looking forward to what we build together.
